How many people are invited to meetings?

The Story Behind This Graph

There’s significant research showing that large meeting sizes can be a drag on productivity. But as groups and businesses grow, often meeting size grows right along with them. This metric shows the breakdown of meeting sizes across organizations, providing context for your internal discussions about meeting size and effectiveness.

Why It Matters

Meetings with more than six people are less productive than smaller meetings. By watching how meeting size changes, you can better gauge how to adjust how your business operates in order to make meetings as productive as possible.

How It’s Calculated

To get this metric, we add up the number of people invited to meetings for each period, and divide by the total number of meetings in the same period. This does not include no-show or canceled meetings.
